On Thursday 5th December, the Leighton Vans team hosted our very own T6.1 open evening to celebrate the launch of the new Volkswagen Transporter model. As a result, it was a great way to interact with the transporter community, be it supporters of Leighton Vans or likeminded companies.

With our T6.1s arriving a mere few hours ahead of the event, a brilliant effort from our workshop team meant we managed to prepare one of the vans in time for the event and have it on display for those that attended. Throughout the day the workshop was tidied, prosecco was prepared, beer and other drinks and refreshments were bought and arranged. Before long, our own stalls were set up and the companies started to arrive to set up theirs.

And so 4:30pm came and the guests started to arrive, greeted by the LV team at the doors and by 5pm the event was more or less ready to get started. Most of the attendees evening was taken up chatting with other T6.1 enthusiasts and companies such as Bilstein, ABT, Cobra, Revo and more who all attended the event to show off their new products and share their own views and opinions on the T6.1.
As well as our very own T6.1 with LV alloys, sidebars and more on, Bilstein products were on display, Revo arrived with a van and more, Richter Sport brought an ABT van of theirs on display, The Pizza Guy set up a wood-fired pizza tent and much more. It was a great opportunity to gain an insight into the new T6.1 and what companies have to offer when it comes to the new model!
There was a brilliant turnout on the day and the LV Team would like to thank everyone who came to the event, we’ll definitely be hosting more events in the future. We hope the people who attended had as much of a good time as we did!
